Physical or financial constraints can make it challenging to manage bed bug infestations. The Environmenal Protection Agency (EPA) Center for Pest Management is offering a free webinar that will provide integrated pest management tactics readily available and at low-cost. Bed bug experts will discuss how to prevent, identify, and manage bed bugs through biological controls (i.e., the use of beneficial organisms), mechanical controls (i.e., the use of physical methods or mechanical devices), and chemical controls (i.e., the use of pesticides).
Attendees might be able to earn state agency CEU credits for some commercial applicator categories by viewing this webinar. Please see the registration page for more details.
The no-cost webinar will be held March 29 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM (ET) with 30 minutes for questions afterward.
At this webinar, you will learn:
- How to find and identify bed bugs and bed bug infestations.
- About readily available, inexpensive resources to control bed bugs in rural areas.
- How bed bug infestations are eradicated in low-income housing areas using integrated pest management strategies.
Speakers will include Dr. Changlu Wang (Rutgers University), Dr. Steven Kells (University of Minnesota), and Dr. Marcia Anderson (U.S. EPA, Center for Integrated Pest Management).
