The Kentucky State Apiarist is coordinating an art contest for kids 5 to 18 years old. There are three different age divisions; 5 to 8, 9 to 11, and 12 to 18 years old and gift cards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each division ($100, $50, and $25, respectively). The artwork needs to depict the relationship between a pollinator and a host flower. Various types of media are permitted, but the canvas must be no larger than 11.75 by 16.5 inches. The deadline for submitting artwork is February 26, 2021.

This contest is used to highlight the importance of pollinators in Kentucky and encourage viewers to take action to preserve Kentucky pollinators. Submitted artwork will not be returned and may be displayed publicly by the Kentucky Pollinator Protection Stakeholders in publications and/or promotions.
