Early Blight & Septoria Leaf Spot of Tomato – Disease Management for Commercial Growers

Early blight and Septoria leaf spot are the most common fungal diseases of tomato in Kentucky. Often occurring together, these diseases can significantly reduce yields during seasons with humid, wet weather.

This newly released publication was created to assist commercial growers with the identification and management of these important foliar diseases.  Symptoms, signs, cause, disease development, disease management, and tomato cultivars with disease tolerance/resistance to one or both diseases are included.  A table of registered fungicides, their FRAC group(s), and expected efficacy provides yet another valuable resource in this fact sheet.

Early Blight & Septoria Leaf Spot of Tomato – Disease Management for Commercial Growers (PPFS-VG-25) is available online.
