Plant Diseases – Kentucky Master Gardener Manual Chapter 6 (PPA-46)

The Plant Disease chapter in the Master Gardener Manual (Figure 1) focuses on those living organisms that cause disease: fungi, water molds, bacteria, viruses, nematodes, phytoplasmas, and parasitic plants. Large, color pictures (Figure 2) that depict selected stages in various pathogen life cycles are also included. A separate appendix accompanies this document and serves as a valuable reference tool for common diseases and symptoms of woody ornamentals, bedding plants, fruits, vegetables, turfgrasses, and grains.

KY Master Gardener Manual Chapter 6–Plant Diseases (PPA-46) and its Appendix (MG-ch6-Appendix) are available online.
