Welcome Dr. Zachary Devries to UK Extension Entomology

Our new Extension entomologist, Dr. Zachary Devries, began work on December 16 in the Entomology Department at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Zach replaces Dr. Mike Potter when he is scheduled to retire at the end of 2020.  Zach’s responsibilities will include Extension programs and applied research on indoor and structural arthropods, including a focus on bed bugs and cockroaches. He will also coordinate the annual UK Pest Control short course in November, which attracts over 500 pest control operators from Kentucky and surrounding states.
