EPA Seeking Nominations for Rural Stakeholder Advisory Committee

The EPA is seeking nominations of persons willing to serve on the Farm Ranch and Rural Communities Federal Advisory Committee. This committee enables the EPA to build a relationship with agricultural stakeholders and rural communities to ensure the agency is informed on how its decisions affect rural America. The EPA is seeking broad and balanced representation, and members of this committee will include farm groups, rural suppliers, marketers, processors, academia/researchers; state, local, and tribal government; and nongovernmental organizations. The EPA is seeking 20 to 30 members for 2 to 3 year terms, and expects to have the committee meet twice a year.

Full details about qualifications and how to apply will be published in the Federal Register Notice, which will be posted once available on the committee’s website. Applications must include a résumé and a statement of interest, and must be received by EPA by December 31, 2019.
