Grape Tube Gall Maker

Small flies are responsible for blister or fleshy galls (Figure 1) that may appear on grapevine leaves, petioles, or cluster stems.  Small maggots develop within these galls; the maggots leave and drop to the ground to complete their life cycle. The galls are not harmful to plants.
