Midwest Blueberry Production Guide (ID-210)
Blueberries are one of Kentucky’s emerging small fruit crops, with cultivated blueberry production acreage increasing 73% from 2007 to 2012. As acreage increases, so does the need for growers to follow sound cultural practices. The Midwest Blueberry Production Guide was written to aid both new and experienced growers in the successful production of blueberries.
This guide was compiled by University of Kentucky Extension specialists in corroboration with university specialists throughout the Midwest. Some topics covered include: blueberry growth and development; planting, establishing, and maintaining blueberry crops; as well as nutritional disorders, diseases, insects, weeds, and wildlife problems encountered in this area.
Midwest Blueberry Production Guide (ID-210) is available online.
