Eastern Tent Caterpillar Egg Hatch

Initial hatch of eastern tent caterpillar (ETC) egg hatch was reported late last week from Scott County by Larry Hanks, commercial arborist. Populations have been increasing over the past 4 to 5 years and tents will be more noticeable in some areas of the state this year. This is part of a natural buildup that occurs in insect populations. More information on the ETC is available at:   http://www2.ca.uky.edu/entomology/entfacts/ef423.asp.
